MacLeod play Classic Rock Music from the cream of the British rock bands that graced the golden era of heavy rock during the 70s and 80s.
Rather than going down the road of the typical tribute bands, the members of
MacLeod decided they wouldn't just cover one artist because it would
mean the audience would miss out on so many classic tunes.
So the band decided to reproduce the songs that not only filled the great studio masterpieces such as "Machine Head" , "Made in Rock" "Let there be Rock", "Zeppelin 4", "Sabbath Bloody Sabbath"," Van Halen 1" and "Rainbow Rising" to name but a few, but also attempt to capture the feel and atmosphere that blew you away when you first heard some of the greatest live albums ever made.
Whether it was "Made in Japan" by Deep Purple, "Live & Dangerous" by Thin Lizzy, "Live in the heart of the city" by Whitesnake , "Strangers in the night" by UFO or any of the other numerous live records that easily surpassed the studio versions during this golden era.
Right from the opening of the bands set you will hear the rumbling bass lines of Geezer Butler, Steve Harris, Glenn
Hughes and Neil Murray. The twin harmony guitars of Thin Lizzy, Whitesnake & Iron Maiden, the thunderous drums of Bill Ward, Vinnie Appice and Cozy Powell and the gut wrenching wall of sound vocals of Bruce Dickinson, Bon Scott, Brian Johnson and David Coverdale. delivered with enough power to fell an ox
MacLeod will transport you back to the time of Bikes, denim jackets, Studded wristbands and flared jeans,
remembering nights spent at The Manchester Apollo, Bingley Hall and Deeside Leisure Centre watching the Gods of Rock parading their talent. |
